Can a snowstorm strike the same place twice? We certainly hope so.

Welcome to our 7th annual Your Order is FREE if it Snows promotion. In case you missed the incredible news or are a fairly recent email subscriber, on February 14th, 2022, we received 25.8 cm of newly fallen snow at the Charlottetown Airport which was more than enough to beat the minimum requirement of the 17.7 cm of newly fallen snow that we were hoping for on that day. As a result, everyone who made a qualifying purchase received a FULL REFUND of their qualifying purchase. This was the first time we had ever been through this experience of refunding everyone their money (after we first received all of the money from the insurance company of course!) and it was an incredible feeling for us.

So, let's try it again!

In case you are not familiar these types of promotions, we have seen other retailers in Canada and the US in particular do similar weather related promotions, sometimes for the entire purchase price of a new car (but soap can be nice too!), and it seemed like it could be a lot of fun for everyone so we decided to try it!

You don't have to do anything extra to have a chance to win. Just make a purchase with us as you normally would (either online, by phone, or in-store) between January 19th, 2024, 12:01 a.m. AST and February 7th, 2024, 11:59 p.m. AST for any amount between $60 and $600 (including applicable tax and shipping). If we receive 17.7 cm (which is a bit less than 7 inches) or more of newly fallen snow as recorded by ATHENIUM ANALYTICS LLC on February 14th, 2024 (Valentine's Day) from 12:01 a.m. - 11:59 p.m. AST (24 Hours), we will simply refund your paid purchase amount back to you in full.

IMPORTANT: During the first 3 snowfall promotions that we ran in 2018, 2019, and 2020, the Government Weather Station at the Charlottetown Airport, Prince Edward Island, with NavCan as the station operator, has been used as the official recorder for the newly fallen snow amount. Unfortunately, we did not use their numbers in 2021, 2022, and 2023 and will not be able to use their numbers in 2024 as our insurance provider had confirmed that many stations operated across Canada by NavCan experienced an error affecting data from late November to early December 2020. In order to prevent insurance issues resulting from a similar problem occurring on February 14th, 2024, this year the newly fallen snow amount will be provided exclusively by ATHENIUM ANALYTICS LLC. ATHENIUM ANALYTICS LLC provides location-specific measurements by implementing the latest methods and tools in weather technology reporting. The ATHENIUM ANALYTICS LLC staff of meteorologists has immediate access to weather observations that are taken at least hourly, and often more frequently, throughout the world.

If ATHENIUM ANALYTICS LLC reports that we received 17.7 cm or more of newly fallen snow in the general area of the Charlottetown Airport, Prince Edward Island, on February 14th, 2024 (Valentine's Day) from 12:01 a.m. - 11:59 p.m. AST (24 Hours), we will simply refund your paid purchase amount back to you in full.

Your Order is FREE if it Snow's - Promotion Details

• New purchases of any amount between $60 and $600 (including applicable tax and shipping) must be both made and paid for during the promotion period between January 19th, 2024, 12:01 a.m. AST until February 7th, 2024, 11:59 p.m. AST (local time in Prince Edward Island).
• This promotion is fully insured by Lloyd's Underwriters (Lloyd's of London) through a registered and licenced insurance brokerage in Canada for a reasonable premium and will not in any way compromise our business. Only if and when Lloyd's Underwriters pays us will we refund all eligible insured purchases in full within 30 days of receiving the payment.
• Subject to the eligible promotion sales volume exceeding Lloyd's Underwriters insurable limits, we reserve the right to stop this promotion at any time. In the very unlikely event that the promotion is ended earlier than February 7th, 2024, 11:59 p.m. AST, customers making purchases will be informed the promotion has ended early and offered the option to cancel their order for a full refund. Customers making purchases prior to the promotion ending early will not be affected.
• Subject to verification by the insurer that the reported number is not an error, only the information provided to them by ATHENIUM ANALYTICS LLC will be used to determine if 17.7 cm or more of "Total Snow" had fallen during the 24 hour period on February 14th, 2024 as recorded by ATHENIUM ANALYTICS LLC. The information recorded by the Government of Canada Weather Station at Charlottetown Airport will not be used to decide whether the required minimum snow amount has fallen for purchases to be refunded.
• Total refund limit per individual person is $600. All amounts in Canadian Dollars.
• Purchases made during the promotion period are not be eligible for refunds (for example, if you did not want the product anymore) as they normally would be any other time of the year. However, we will still offer exchanges at our discretion. Of course, product quality is still guaranteed and any unsatisfactory item will be replaced or exchanged even if purchased during the promotion period.
• In-store Gift Cards and online Gift Certificates are not eligible.
• Payments made by credit card will be refunded back to the same credit card. Payments made by PayPal will be refunded back to the same PayPal account. Payments made by email transfer will be sent a refund by email transfer to the same email address. Payments for purchases made in person in our retail store, by any method, will require the original person to return with their original receipt (and credit or debit card if payment was not made in cash) by March 14th, 2024 in order to process the refund. While we may make best efforts to record the name and contact information of qualifying in-store purchases for an eligible purchase, we are not obligated to do so and it is the sole responsibility of the original person who made the qualifying in-store purchase to contact us by March 14th, 2024 to claim their eligible refund.
• While we may make best efforts to contact qualifying online and phone purchases for an eligible refund, we are not obligated to do so and it is the sole responsibility of the original person who made the qualifying online or phone purchase to contact us by March 14th, 2024 to claim their eligible refund. In 2022, the year that we had enough newly fallen snow for the promotion, 100% of online and phone order customers were successfully contacted by us and offered a full refund.
• Only retail purchases made during the promotion period and paid in full by the deadline of February 7th, 2024, 11:59 p.m. AST are eligible for this promotion. Email transfer payments must be received and processed with the funds in our bank before this deadline (please allow 24 hours for us to claim email transfers you send us). Payments received after the deadline, for any reason, will be not be eligible for the promotion. Wholesale purchases are not eligible for this promotion.
• If you would like to opt-out of this promotion for any reason, simply type the words "OPT OUT" in the Order Comments section of your online order. In this case, our regular refund policy for products purchased would still apply.
